The park has a huge dog off leash area that has numerous access points to the creek. There’s even a naturally formed swimming pool, a great spot for your dog to have a splash! Dog owners who frequent the park have been responsible & friendly, their dogs controlled & well behaved.
There’s plenty of wildlife… during spring beware of the swooping magpies, they really dislike dogs! You’ll also find turtles on land burying their eggs so be careful your curious pooch doesn’t give them a fright. In the summer keep an eye out for tiger snakes. They are known to be territorial and can be aggressive if provoked.
The park has onsite rangers who maintain the area to an exceptionally high standard. There are many bins & doggy poo bag dispensers placed around the parkland. Apparently they dispose of 90kg of dog poo every 3 days... That’s approximately 5 tonnes per annum!
Located only 7km from Melbourne CBD, it’s definitely worth a visit!
